Buy Today, Wear Tomorrow

Today was busy.

Between the shopping, the cooking, and talking about my sister’s business trip, the day flew by so quickly. We ran out to Marshalls mid-day. I needed a new pair of pants and shirts for work. Isn’t it always the truth that when you are really in need of a new pair of pants, you can’t find any that fit?

The new Marshalls down the street setup their dressing room with three tags for the clothing hooks. They were labeled: Definitely, Possibly, and Tomorrow. I guess the person making up these signs were trying to be positive because when you try something on that is hideous you certainly are not saying, "tomorrow."

Although my shopping trip was not successful, I did find success in my exercise routine. I went for a 20 min walk around my apartment complex to get my body ready for the week. It was exhausting and made me realize just how out of shape I am.  After a quick shower to cool off, I stood for an hour in my kitchen prepping my homemade spaghetti sauce for Thursday’s dinner at my mum’s house and tonight’s dinner.

For another night of American cuisine, I made my sister Veggie Tacos. When I became a vegetarian I had to come up with a substitute for my favorite dishes. Tacos are definitely at the very top. I could use tofu but I have not been able to eat it. The texture does not seem right to me. One day I started using yellow pepper as the protein. I sauté it with all the taco-like seasoning and mix it with a bunch of vegetables, then top with Mexican cheese and taco shells. It’s delicious, filling, and light on your stomach.

Tonight my sister and I are watching documentaries on the country she is heading to soon. Work tomorrow and a new salad recipe for dinner, so more to come!

  1. Hilarious...you're right...tomorrow...WHY would they use that?
Suppose you go back, and it's gone! Or even worse...
What if it's Groundhog Day and "there isn't a tomorrow; there wasn't one today?!"
